Lectures and Conferences

Each year the Capps Center sponsors a series of lectures and conferences on topics of public concern. These events are held both on campus and downtown in Santa Barbara. All events are open to the public.

See Calendar of Events for upcoming lectures and conferences.

The Inaugural Lecture was given by Gary Wills, the Pulitzer-prize winning author and commentator, on October 6, 2002 at Victoria Hall in downtown Santa Barbara. A video of the lecture is available, courtesy of the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center, at their website, http://www.ihc.ucsb.edu/video/
