Daniel Griffin (MD, PhD) is a physician-scientist, researcher, clinician, and author, certified in infectious disease with expertise in global health, tropical medicine, parasitology, HIV, and virology, including SARS-CoV2. He is chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at ProHealth Care, a member of the Department of Medicine-Division of Infectious Diseases at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and President of Parasites Without Borders, Inc.

Stephanie Malia Hom is Assistant Professor in the Department of French & Italian at UCSB. Prof. Hom served for four years as Executive Director of the Acus Foundation, a Berkeley-based nonprofit organization that provided integrative medicine training to health care professionals serving veterans and their families. Her experience working with physicians and patients navigating health care systems in the U.S. has driven her interest in the medical humanities.
